Rae Lynn was selected for Artist of the Month (June, 2019) by Tuftonboro Free Library. Following is an excerpt about her exhibition.
"Throughout my life I have had a wide ranging intrest in fiber arts. I have done applique, crochet, cross stitch, dressmaking, embroidery, felting, knitting, macrame, needlepoint, quilting, hand/machine sewing, tatting, and weaving. During my childhood, my elders taught me hand sewing, applique and embroidery - the basis of the work I do today.
The library display shows the variety of my work. Many of the wall hangings are from Ladies of the Lakes Quilters' Guild challenges. We were given a theme and sometimes specific fabric(s) to use. I really enjoy the challenges as they create an opportunity to exercise my imagination and try out new techniques.
I hope you will find enjoyment and humor as you view the collection." Rae Lynn W
