From a
serendipitous beginning, we now are a group of 120+ members who gather
semi-monthly from surrounding towns with three missions:
1) To teach and learn quilting
techniques
2) To ensure the growth of
quilting into future generations
3) To serve our communities
through projects of caring and goodwill to the less fortunate.
4) (And the unofficial 4th
mission is to enjoy the warm, friendly camaraderie, hugs,
support, and fun that seem to be
common in quilters!)
What's really
special about our group is having fun and fellowship while we
accomplish such good things together.
And #4? We
take our fellowship seriously, via carefully planned social activities
such as our year-end dinner in September, a Christmas party, a
"Soup-In" lunch in January, and a delicious pot-luck picnic in June.
We meet at the
First Congregational Church, South Main Street (next to the Brewster
Field) in Wolfeboro, NH on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday every month from
10:00 AM - 2:00 PM. Dues are $20.00 per year, payable in
September. A Quilt Show is held every four years and the next one
is in 2014.
